Common Ground Garden

The open space next to the church was covered in apricot trees from the time when much of Silicon Valley consisted of fruit orchards. Now the land has been leased for $1/year to Common Ground Garden, a project of Ecology Action (in Willits, CA). What you'll see and experience here is a demonstration garden used to teach children and adults about sustainable food production through the use of Biointensive Methods, composting, and wise planting.

Members of PACRC have access to many Common Ground garden classes throughout the year. We enjoy volunteering to help keep the plants growing and the soil healthy. The preschool kids love to learn in the garden too.
