The PACRC Cadet Corps

The Calvinist Cadet Corps is an independent youth ministry organization whose purpose is to provide the local church with a ministry program that will enable them to effectively share Christ's love with boys from their church and community. Founded in 1952, the Corps has more than 650 clubs throughout North America. Those clubs are in Reformed, Christian Reformed, Presbyterian, Orthodox Presbyterian, and other Bible believing churches. The organization uses the title "Calvinist" to honor the Protestant reformer, John Calvin, who devoted his life to the religious education of God's children.

The Cadet Corps at PACRC runs programs for boys in first through eighth grades. The focus of our program is to help the Cadets grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally. A typical meeting consists of opening activities, a time of Bible study geared towards the different age groups, a hands-on project or a merit badge, and a game and snack time to close. Throughout the year we also hold a number of special events—this year these will include a campout, service projects, and more. Our Cadet program goes from September to June and boys are welcome to join in at any meeting. Our schedule, which will get updated as we add activities, is here.

Our theme for the year is "Work in Progress" based on Philippians 1: 4 - 6:  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
